Here's the Pop Fly Drop of the Week - "The Continuing Saga of Mike Piazza". 

This 7x10.5" print is available for pre-order for the next seven days. It's expected to ship towards the end of May/beginning of June. I was able to collaborate with Mike on the piece and I'm happy to share that signed copies, autographed my Mike Piazza himself, are also available in addition to the regular Now - a bit about the piece. Growing up 20 miles from the Chavez Ravine, the Dodgers were my hometown heroes. In fact, 30 years ago this year I went to my first and only Opening Day game ever. My father took me out of school early that day, and we saw the 1992 Dodgers home opener together, sitting near the home dugout. I followed the Dodgers closely that season and at the end of year Eric Karros ended up winning Rookie of the Year. When the 1993 season began my eyes were on the Dodgers big time. There was a new player named Mike Piazza, who replaced the beloved Mike Scioscia behind the plate, who ended up dominating that season and ended up winning the Rookie of the Year in 93. At the beginning of the 98 season, he left the Dodgers and went on to even more greatness on other teams, particularly the Mets which was featured here. Mike's beginnings are well-known and are superhero-esque by default. A young athlete, last to be selected in his draft class, in short, willed and worked himself to become one of the catcher's of all-time. Mike's story of determination is one that I've shared with my own young son. It's inspired me and it's inspired many.
