About Us

The Pop Fly Mission:

At Pop Fly, we are more than just a brand; we are the intersection where passion for sports and artistry meet. Founded on the creative vision of artist Daniel Jacob Horine, our mission is to redefine the realm of sports art. Our weekly art prints are just the beginning – they are the canvas where nostalgia and innovation blend, creating a forward-thinking approach to celebrating sports culture.

We envision Pop Fly as a time machine, transporting enthusiasts back to the golden moments of sports history, rekindling the joy and camaraderie of great games and great people. Our ambition extends beyond the canvas; we aim to explore new avenues and push the boundaries of what sports art can be, turning fleeting memories into tangible experiences.

At the heart of Pop Fly is a deep commitment to the community and making a difference. We passionately believe in the power of our art as a force for good, actively supporting charities and initiatives that uplift and enhance the well-being of those around us. Our goal is to not only capture the spirit of the game in our art but to extend this spirit into meaningful actions that resonate within the community, particularly in ways that invest in the lives of children.

In our journey, we remain committed to keeping the spirit of the game alive, one artwork at a time, creating a legacy that resonates both on and off the field.

About the Artist:

Daniel Jacob Horine's life is a testament to resilience, love, and the pursuit of one's passions. Born in Los Angeles, he faced early hardships as a homeless child, enduring neglect and abuse until he found a loving home with the Horine family. His artistic talents blossomed in his youth, leading him to a successful career as an art director. In 2020, grappling with personal loss and a global pandemic, he launched "Pop Fly Pop Shop," at age 41, a venture fusing his love for art with childhood passions like baseball and comic books. His art graces the Baseball Hall of Fame, and he collaborates with baseball legends, showcasing his storytelling prowess. Daniel's journey is an inspiring reminder that creativity knows no age, and resilience can lead to the realization of lifelong dreams.

About Pop Fly Pop Shop:

While Daniel creates the art, Pop Fly is actually a husband and wife duo Daniel and Areni Horine. Daniel and Areni are the quintessential example of a husband and wife team whose partnership extends beyond the home and into the entrepreneurial realm with their venture, Pop Fly Pop Shop. Their collaboration reflects a harmonious blend of each other's strengths and talents, united by a shared passion for people, baseball and art. Together, they have harnessed their individual skills to build a brand that is as much a labor of love as it is a celebration of the game. The Horines' joint venture is a testament to the power of marital synergy in creating a business that is heartfelt, engaging, and deeply personal, resonating with collectors who appreciate the couple's authentic approach to their work and life together.

"Daniel and Areni are complemented in their entrepreneurial journey by their enthusiastic son, Daniel Jr. At the young age of 8, Daniel Jr. has been an active part of the business since he was four, contributing more than just a family presence. He engages in the process, bringing his unique and youthful insights, and learning alongside his parents. His involvement extends to interacting with notable figures in the baseball world, gaining experiences that enrich both his life and the family business. Daniel Jr.'s role in Pop Fly Pop Shop goes beyond typical child involvement; his eagerness and participation in the venture have become an integral part of the brand's story, showcasing the Horines' commitment to nurturing passion and skill from a young age."
