It brings back memories of the summer of 1990 when my family took a road trip all the way from California to Texas when I was 11. It was the summer before 6th grade and I'll never forget the thrill of walking into Arlington Stadium with my folks. It was a Yankees vs. Rangers game, and the player I was most excited to see that evening: Ruben Sierra batting cleanup.

As a kid, I felt was just something special about Ruben Sierra. He had such an incredible year in 89' when my love of baseball was in full swing so he was absolutely on my radar. Watching him hit that day was something special. He had a unique swing of underrated beauty that made him stand out and was always a fierce competitor.

Looking back, it's crazy to think about how much time has passed since then. Mom and Dad aren't here anymore, but the memories are still here, and the excitement of seeing Ruben Sierra play is something that has stayed with me all these years. And now, with this art collaboration with Ruben, I'm excited all over again, just like I was like a kid in the stands with Mom and Dad all those summer nights ago.

This 7 x 10.5" art print will be available for purchase between now and 4/30/23, after which it is retired forever. The artwork is estimated to ship between 40-60 days after the purchase window closes. This is not a guaranteed timeline, only an estimate.
