This week, Pop Fly Pop Shop proudly presents another collaboration with none other than baseball legend Eric Gagné! Known for his "Game Over" nickname, Eric has partnered with us to create an exclusive piece. You have three fantastic options: a regular edition, a signed edition with Eric Gagné's authentic signature, or an inscribed edition from Eric himself. This piece is available for 2 weeks, retiring on Oct 29.
Eric Gagné is a name etched in baseball lore. Born in 1976 in Montreal, Canada, Gagné embarked on a journey through Major League Baseball that would leave an indelible mark.
His odyssey began in Los Angeles, joining the Dodgers in 1999. Here, he started crafting his legacy as one of the game's most dominant closers, earning the fitting moniker, "Game Over."
Yet, it was the 2003 season that saw Gagné ascend to the pinnacle of his career. With 55 saves, he became the guardian at the gate, securing his place as a true legend. His excellence was acknowledged with the prestigious Cy Young Award, a rare honor for a reliever.
A remarkable masterpiece unfolded in 2003-2004, as Gagné recorded an astonishing 84 consecutive saves, a record that left fans and experts alike in awe. His consistency was nothing short of legendary.
With three All-Star appearances, two National League saves titles, 187 career saves, and a commendable 3.47 ERA, he stands as a symbol of excellence in the realm of relief pitching.
His retirement in 2010 marked the end of his on-field journey, but the story he penned in baseball's annals will forever inspire future generations.
This 7 x 10.5" art print will be available for purchase between now and 10/29/23, after which it is retired forever. The artwork is estimated to ship between 40-60 days after the purchase window closes. This is not a guaranteed timeline, only an estimate.
