In the pantheon of electrifying baseball players, few possessed the combination of style, grace, and sheer audacity quite like Tim "Rock" Raines. The moniker "Rock" aptly described his unyielding resolve and solid presence on the field. Throughout his illustrious career, Raines etched his name in the annals of baseball history, leaving an indelible mark as one of his era's most versatile and dynamic players.

Born on September 16, 1959, in Sanford, Florida, Raines developed a love affair with baseball from an early age. Gifted with blazing speed and an innate ability to read the game, Raines became a beacon of hope for Montreal Expos fans when he arrived in the big leagues in 1979. Clad in the distinctive tricolor cap, Raines embodied the essence of the Expos' ambitious and eclectic brand of baseball.

The peak of Raines's career coincided with the Expos' golden age, as they showcased a roster teeming with young, vibrant talent. Raines earned seven consecutive All-Star selections from 1981 to 1987, showcasing his well-rounded skills on the game's grandest stage.
