Baseball curses are a peculiar and mysterious phenomenon that fascinate sports fans around the world. And in Japan, one curse stands out above the rest: the Curse of the Colonel. It all started in 1985 when the Hansheen Tigers won their first and only championship, sending their fans into a frenzy of celebration.
As part of the festivities, a statue of Colonel Sanders was thrown into the Dotonbori River in Osaka. But little did the fans know that this act of joy would lead to years of misfortune and heartache for the Tigers. According to legend, the Colonel's spirit had been helping the Tigers win games and championships, but when the statue was thrown into the river, it broke the connection, and the Colonel's spirit cursed the team with years of failure. Despite various attempts to lift the curse, nothing seemed to work, and the Tigers remain haunted by the Curse of the Colonel.
This 7 x 10.5" art print will be available for purchase between now and 4/23/23, after which it is retired forever. The artwork is estimated to ship between 40-60 days after the purchase window closes. This is not a guaranteed timeline, only an estimate.
Our art prints (not a comic book) is printed on double-thick card stock & come packaged in all the nostalgia you can ask for. The art print is a pre-order item for sale for one week only and then the print is retired and the print run is locked.
