In a game against the Mariners, Edwin Encarnacion sent the ball flying over the fence and out of the stadium. But what caught everyone's attention was what he did next. As he made his way around the bases, Encarnacion lifted his right arm in a way that looked like he had an invisible parrot perched on it. And right there, the parrot walk was born. The celebration soon became a fixture in Toronto. Other players began incorporating bird-themed celebrations, and fans wore parrot hats and shirts to honor the beloved bird. Although Encarnacion eventually left the Blue Jays, his parrot's legacy lived on, and it traveled with him from team to team. And Parrot himself? Well, he's still living the good life with Encarnacion. The parrot walk remains a symbol of joy in the often-serious world of baseball, proving that even the smallest things can capture hearts.
