This week's release is one I've been looking forward to for a long time. "The Toy Cannon" has been one of my favorite nicknames of all time but I've not really known what to do with it.

When searching for just the right angle, I came across this image of Wynn it struck me just how much his uppercut of a swing with that outstretched barrel resembled a cannon - and BOOM (pun heavily intended) I knew what to do with this one.

Jimmy Wynn was a powerful player, doomed to play half of his games in a pitcher's ballpark, but nonetheless recorded many tape-measure homers. Wynn was an underrated power-hitter that is now starting to gain the attention of statheads as older players from older eras are reassessed with modern metrics. He was always good but now we're understanding just how good he was. He ranks among the top 20 center fielders of all time in JAWS.


Our art prints (not a comic book) is printed on double-thick card stock & come packaged in all the nostalgia you can ask for. The art print is a pre-order item for sale for one week only and then the print is retired and the print run is locked. *Frame not included.
